Yellow trail: The Bridge of Reconciliation - Danków
Category: Bicycle tracks Distance: 27.0 km Difficulty: średni
The trail begins at the wooden "Bridge of Reconciliation", rebuild in 2014 on the contraction of "Ogardzka Odnoga" lake. We are moving south and soon turning right heading west. Travelling for about 2,5 km through the pine forest we reach the crossroads. Here we can turn left to the black rail that can take us (after 300 m) to the resting place "On The Boarder" equiped with 6 roofed tables and educational boards. We can also turn right and continue travelling with the yellow track to Pielice. When entering the village our attention gets caught by a small half-timbered church from XVIII century. Next we are taking the asphalt road to Ogardy. Among the fields with numerous ponds we can spot many species of birds, including the very majestic crane. Between September and October it is possible to listen or even to see here a magnificent spectacle of nature- the rut. In the central part of next villige- Ogardy we can see a late romanesque style church of granite from XIII century. A high tower above the church's roof was build later, on XIX century. It is worth to visit the manor and farm complex from the 2nd half of the nineteenth century that is located in the north-eastern part of the village as well as the nature monument - huge Sycamore maple. We are moving forward in the north-western direction to Gilów where the trail turns left and runs to Tuczno. The biggest attraction of Tuczno is a neoclassical palace built in 1899 and surrounded by a park with many monumental trees of different species. From Tuczno we are following the asphalt road to Bobrówko. In the center of the village there is a neo-romanesque style church with a distinctive soaring stone and brick tower. We find here also another interesting palace built at the end of the XVIII century and expanded after about 100 years. Leaving Bobrwko with the yellow trail we meet on the side of road a huge boulder "Lying Elephant," that probably geve the name to the village (Breitenstein - lying elephant). Approximately 4 km from here, close to Żabicko village there is a similar boulder called "The Devils Stone". Following the trail for the next 2 km we enter back to the forest and turn left, toward Danków. We cross magnificent pine forests, pass the vast farmlands and at the end observe the "Danków Greater" lake. We reach an asphalt road No. 156 from the Strzelce Krajeńskie to Barlinek near Danków where the trail finishes its run.
